We were at breaking point, with two demanding children who didn’t listen, didn’t care about consequences and it was affecting all areas of our lives. At school, my son’s behaviour was so disruptive, he had a full time 1:1.

Katherine could straight away see that we had “control-grabbing” children. My husband and I both had to reset our behaviour, get on the same page and most importantly, be consistent in our messaging to the children.

My son started Yr 2 in September and I approached a catch-up meeting with his teacher with the usual trepidation. This, from the child who’s most commonly used phrase used to be “I don’t want to”!
